What Causes Dryness In The Hands After Taking Z-Pak?
Hello, I had the flu and strep throat about a week and a half ago. My doctor had given me amoxicillin for my strep. I still wasn t feeling good so she had prescribed me the zpack. Once I finished the zpack I realized maybe two days later my hands were real dry and were starting to peel and so were my toes, in between and around them. The peeling has not stopped. Could this be a side affect from the zpack? Should I seek medical attention?
I don't think the feeling of the skin of hands and feet is a side effect of z pack. I think you may have been suffering from any viral infection such hand, feet and mouth disease.
This may have caused the skin of hands and feet to have rash and peel of. Z pack is not known to give this type of side effect.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
