Dear as said by you there is no history of any loss of consciousness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting . You only have dull aching pain.this is suggestive of some soft tissue injury that is injury of muscle and fascia over head.there may be bleed also in soft tissue . You can feel that boggy soft swelling also if any.simple pain killer Is that what you require . And you have prescribed that.it will resolve over a period of 4 to 5 days..but in between if you develop any warning signs such as nausea , vomiting , blurred vision , dizziness etc then it's an indication for imaging studies such as CT scan of head.so don't be panic take pain killers on sos basis right now.hope this will help you.
