What Causes Dull Pain On The Lower Right Side Of The Ribcage?

Hi, I am experiencing a dull ache or pain in my lower right side (under my rib cage). It comes and goes. I sometimes experience occasional constipation. I had an upper endoscopy in December 2014 along with follow up right quadrant ultrasounds. Both studies were negative. However I have not been officially diagnosed with anything. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to bloating.

One of the common cause of bloating is constipation.

I suggest using an over the counter option like Miralax.

I also suggest using a fiber rich diet and take fiber supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
