What Causes Dull, Persistent Pain Between Shoulder Blades And Back?
60 yr olds w female, no meds, 5 3, 160#,non smoker. I have a dull ache/pain, all day, r side, waist, midway between side and back, closer to side than back. Movement doesn t aggravate. No fever or recent new exercise. Have had minor cough past four weeks after cold. Yesterday had minor pain all day between shoulder blades, felt deep, hurt bit more with deep breathe, gone today. I was looking at symptoms when your box popped up and thought I;d try it. thank you

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dull, persistent pain between shoulder blades and back . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like musxle spasm of back . pain due to trigger points of trapezius muscle , cerviral spondolysis , shoulder joint problem , cardiac problem or lymphadenopathy in armpits . I would suggest you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling , do light stretching exercises of upper back and shoulder , apply warm compresses on affected area or start physical therapy of back . Also do stretching exercises of trapezius muscle under expert . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order X-ray or CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with supplements . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy which will be very helpful
