What Causes Dull Stomach Pain That Moves Up To The Ribs?
I have a dull stomach pain that has knots that sometimes feels like it moves up to my ribs, with indigestion. Prilosec does not seem to help. It is painful when i eat and i am tired and have no energy. When my bowel moved yesterday they where almost white and dry.
Dull stomach pain radiating to the ribs may be indicative of Indigestion, food allergy, Acid reflux. GERD, etc. You are suggested to take high fiber diet & avoid oily spicy food. Cut on dairy products (cheese, cream milk, paneer) & red meat. Cut on addictions if any. Maintain the timing of food, never over eat.Take antacids, PPI's for relieve. Take laxatives (Dulcolax-two tabs at bed time).
Stay well hydrated for proper bowel movement. However, there may be other medical conditions that cause you such discomforts. You are suggested to get clinically assessed by a GP. Get blood & other screening tests done to rule out Cholecystitis, appendicitis, pancreatitis, etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
