My orthopedist says I have dyskinesia in my muscles around my right shoulder blade and in front of my shoulder causing painful and decreased rom. It always feels that my arm is too heavy for my shoulder, achy and wakes me up. What is dyskinesia and what are the causes. I am a 65 year old female.
hi Musculotendinous rupture and shoulder weakness .may lead to dyskinesia,which is a uncontrolled, repetitive movements of muscles treatment with omega-3 fatty acids is effective apart from shoulder muscles repair by surgery if any rupture present and later build up exercises MRI shoulder may helpdiagnose any disruption present. some surgeons do arthroscopic diagnosis and repair.so you may consult a shoulder surgeon regards,
