What Causes Dysphagia With Acid Reflux And Bruising?

Hi, I m going to see my doctor next week. I was wondering what ya ll think. I m 55 years old. I bruise so easily the last year and they look horrendous. I am also having troubles swallowing on occasion where I have to leave the table and regurgitate everything I ve eaten. This does not happen all the time but it s up to once or twice a week. What should I ask my doctor to look for or at?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of being 55 and bruise so easily, swallowing troubles on occasions that you have to leave the table and regurgitate everything happening once or twice a week.
Visiting the Doctor and wants to know what to ask him...
First of all ask for a clinical evaluation and then the following investigations:
Upper GI endoscopy after preparation,
Barium swallow with thick barium
Routine tests of blood to know about anemia, hypothyroidism, diabetes and so on.

Once all the investigations are done you can go for further medical and/or surgical management
This may be most probably a problem with lower end of the esophagus and the condition is called achalasia cardia.
In this condition the lower sphincter of the esophagus does not open fully and hence regurge of food which you have taken recently and the associated problems.
