What Causes Ear Ache Upon Yawning Post A Bout Of Cold?
my daughter has had a nasty cold for the past week and has complained of ear pain on and off but nothing consistent. Yesterday she started complaining about pain in her ear when she burped or yawned. Do I assume it's an ear infection or simply all linked to this nasty cold?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Your ear is connected with throat through eustachian tube. Sometimes a infection of throat/Nose spreads to ear through it. It is called otitis media. Your daughter should be facing this problem. Normally this problem would be treated when the underlying cause(cold) goes. She should take steam inhalation for cold. Using nasal drops will cause thinning of secretions of nose. For congestion nose you can take oral decongestant like Pseudoephdrine.
If problem persist, visit a physician for help Don't worry she would be fine
