What Causes Ear Ache With Bleeding?

hi i took my son to the ER because he has been very sick and then finally he started to complain about his ear hurting so i finally took him to the ER and when the resident looked into his ear he said that he had to clean it out and my son is 4 and he did not move and when the resident stuck in the plastic stick to clean it out my son froze with pain and was scared to move and he started to cry so when the resident was done blood started dripping from his ear and he said there was nothing to worry about so today my sons ear is still dripping blood and its not clear red it actual blood please help

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my best to resolve it..

As per your complain bleeding from ear after cleaning can be due to trauma to the ear canal leading to injury to the mucosa of ear canal leading to bleeding..
In case if the blood is not clear there is a possibility that there is pus formation in the ear due to infection and on cleaning the blood and pus start dripping..
In case if the discharge is still going on consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, culture of the blood and pus discharge and x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can give him pain killers like Ibuprofen or Acteaminophen..
