What Causes Ear Blockage With Jaw Pain And Enlarged Glands?
I have a suspected ear infection and have been prescribed Co-Amoxiclav. 48 hours on, both my ears are blocked. I have very little hearing, lots of pain and now cannot close my jaw. Is this normal? (I have just come off a holiday where I swam lots - one Dr suggested I may have swimmers ear, the other (that prescribed the Co-Amoxiclav) suspects I have an ear infection but noted my jaw pain and enlarged glands.
No it is not normal for you to not be able to close your jaw and i would like you to meet your ent doctor again as the infection seems to be spreading and you may need a stronger/different antibiotic for it. Please do not delay and meet your doctor as soon as possible.
Thanks
