What Causes Ear Blocked Feeling With Nasal Congestion?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my right ear feels like it wants to explode when in a restaurant and lots of people are talking at various tables? Also my right ear feels as if it s blocked virtually all the time - I know it s not but this has been going on now over the 4 or 5 months. I take steriod nasal drops daily but still suffer with lots and I mean lots of mucus or cataar (not sure which!) which is not going down the back of my throat or I find I can t blow my nose. I find it rather embarrassing having to clear it and can only do it at home as you can imagine without me having to be too explicit!! Hence my ear nagging me all the time!!!!!
You might be having chronic rhinosinusitis which is causing eustachian tube catarrh. Which in turn is causing ear fullness. Since steroid nasal drops are helping, you need to take decongestant nasal drops to address nasal congestion along with a good course of antibiotics supported by anti histamines. All thes together and frequent steam inhalations will going to help in longer durations.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
