What Causes Ear Infections In An Infant?

hi, my son who is 8months old has been having consistant earinfections for the past month and a half... pretty sure tubes are going to have to be put in...but this morning when he woke up his nose was all runny {clear}, hes real restless, low grade fever, his cheeks was red as well this time.. .and he is still pulling on his ears... could this be something more than an ear infection?

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your query,your child might probably be suffering from Inflammation in the ear due to nasal cold infection.

He needs to take Oral Antibiotic like syrup medicine,Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,Antipyretic like Paracetamol,Saline nasal drops.

Also avoid cold food and dust.Give him lots of warm fluids.
