What Causes Ear Pain While Burping Or Having Hiccups?
Hi, I am having pain in my left ear while burping and hiccup... I have no family history of deafness or stuff and also no fever, cold, cough, soar throat or anything... No pain when I swallow, eat or drink.. Is there anything to worry about... ?What to do to relieve the pain... ?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear pain while burping or having hiccups. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that infection has traveled to ear through Eustachian tube and leading to its dysfunction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and blood test along with otoscopic examination. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial along with anti allergic and decongestant . For now do warm saline gargles and take steam. Avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
