Hello,
In my opinion, you might be having
eustachian tube dysfunction caused secondarily because of deviated septum. This can cause blocked ears, ear pain, ear pressure, echoing of our words, reduced hearing.
Eustachian tube dysfunction is a condition diagnosed clinically. Therefore I will urge you to see a doctor for clinical examination. Following clinical examination, you can be started on antihistamines + decongestant tablet twice daily for 5 to 7 days along with decongestant nasal drops.
The blood drops are not going to harm you. So do not be worried. Until then Valsalva exercises such as chewing a gum/blowing a balloon also will be helpful.
Audiometry and
tympanometry testing for your ear and to confirm the et dysfunction.
If the symptoms are very frequent, then I would advise you to consult with the
ent specialist and get the
nasal septum deviation corrected by doing surgery. You can consult the doctor and discuss my view with him.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
