What Causes Early Periods After Taking An I-pill?

Hi i had unprotected sex on 21st jan and took an I-pill on 22nd and experienced bleeding like periods from 29th, not sure if it is period or just the bleeding but it is different and my menstrual cycle was on 12th jan. So i am 2 weeks early for my periods. I am not understanding how i got periods so early. Does that mean i am pregnant? Please help.

I understand your concern
You took I pill on next day after sex.
It is highly effective, upto 95% effective in preventing pregnancy.
Bleeding on 29th jan is due to side effect of pill.
It cause breakthrough bleeding due to progesterone withdrawal effect
It is common side effect in I pill user and does not indicate pregnancy.

Your next period may be delayed by 1-2 week.
If your period will delay by more than 2 week then consult gynecologist.
Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
