What Causes Early Periods And Dizziness?

Hi, I was diagnosed with a mild uterine prolapse about 6 years ago during a Pap test. I feel as tho it’s getting worse and in the last 3 months I’ve been having early periods like every 18-20 days. Can this cause early periods? Or could my early periods be caused by lifting heavy objects which I do at work? I’m 40 and the last few months have been feeling a bit off with dizziness at times and was also wondering due to my only having 1 ovary and no tubes could that cause early menopause?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. You need to get yourself checked by a gynaecologist as soon as possible. Frequent periods can be a sign of endometriosis and needs to be investigated. You need to get an USG done to rule out the condition. Lifting heavy objects won't cause early periods. Dizziness you are experiencing may be due to weakness caused by low haemoglobin levels as a result of short cycles. Meanwhile you should start taking an iron supplement. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
