Hi,

Tubal pregnancy would cause abdominal pain and a positive pregnancy test. If you get a positive pregnancy test and develop abdominal pain, you will need to see a doctor and rule out tubal pregnancy.
On the other hand many times when patients feel symptoms similar to pregnancy they are not pregnancy related but due to the hormone imbalances that month, the way to know this is by having a pregnancy test which does not come out positive if it is just a hormonal change in our bodies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
