Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My question is about my friend, 62 yrs., and her skin breaks easily and bleeds. She bumps her arm on the edge of a cabinet opening and she bleeds. Begins as flowing bleeding then after getting it to stop it will ooze for a few more hours. Is this something that needs to be addressed by her doctor? Additionally, the other night she felt a itch on the inside of her knee. When she scratched the area, a piece of skin the size of a large pea in circumference and about 1/16th of an inch thick came off. It did not bleed but. She put neosporine on it and a band-aid. The next day no scab had formed and it never bled. So then she left it exposed to the air overnight and it did form a scab over about half of the area. We do not know what to make of these events.
