What Causes Echoing In The Mind While On Citalopram?

I take citalopram and I seem to notice a singing in my mind! Also it seems like I hear everything I say repeatedly said in my mind also! Would this be a side effect of this medication? It starts in the morning when I wake up and it s still there when I go to sleep! It annoys me.

Hi,

Yes, this is called tinnitus and the cause may be the side effects of the medication you are taking.

There is no need to worry if it is causing you any sort of problem you can either get your medication replaced or dosage adjusted.
