What Causes Eczema In Kids?

We have a healthy 20 months old daughter. Since two months she has lost pigment in ger face and on her chest. It does not itch, she is not troubled by it, but it leaves the skin discolored. It has been diagnozed as eczema. What could be the cause of this? Thank you.

Hi,

It may be pityriasis alba. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

It also called superficial eczema. It may be due to multiple factors like sun rays, vitamin deficiencies, worms, atopic diathesis, etc.

Apply tacrolimus 0.03 % oint on the patches. Let him give one tab of tab.albendazole. Avoid sun rays exposure.

Avoid soap bath. Massage olive oil on the whole body after bath.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
