What Causes Eczema Like Rashes All Over Body?

My 32 yr. old son has a itchy rash almost over his entire body and saw a dermatologist. She sent a specimen to the lab and now has asked if thre is any family history of Celiac disease. there is not. I He is overwreight (mostly belly) but I really question this gluten thing. I have read the top 10 symptoms and he has none of them. She wants another blood test. The rash looks like eczyma to me but I m not a doctor. He is very upset about the possibility of having celiac disease.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query your son has eczema like rashes all over body . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , eczema , psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis . I would suggest you to consult allergy specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order allergy test , blood test for igE antibodies and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe anti allergic medicine , corticosteroid ointment and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend you to eat gluten free food if he/she find your problem to be related with gluten allergy . For now apply cold compresses to rashes , take banadryl twice a day and avoid dry environment .
