Swelling red, and painful legs may be caused due to several conditions like cellulitis, heart diseases, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, blood vessel diseases etc. Since you are suffering from diabetes you have higher risks to develop diabetic angiopathy, or vein thrombosis. You have to do a complete check up and additional examinations to find out what is the problem with your foot. I suggest you to go as soon as possible to your healthcare center.
