hi..i had my 3rd cortisone shot for tennis elbow 5 days ago...the pain where i got the shot went away but yesterday i started having burning pain in the back of my elbow and it has continued today also....should i call my orthopedic dr. and let him know? what can the burning be from?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have elbow pain after having Cortisone shot for tennis elbow . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to side effects of the cortisone injection . Usually if pain persist after third injection then more injections should not be given . Moreover pain also occur when in pain site has infection , because in this case cortisone injection is contraindicated . I would suggest you to consult your othopedic surgeon if your are experiencing pain without any delay .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
