What Causes Electric Shock Feeling In Thumb While Stretching Arm?

hi, there, when i stretch my right arm out, i get this electric shock in my thumb..., otherwise my thumb is fine. .., the middle part of my thumb is numb...what can i do? what is the reason for this? should i be worried? thank you very much.... jean-pierre

There is most probably some amount of nerve compression or entrapment requiring attention from either an orthepedician or a neuro surgeon.

If you have a history of spine related abnormalities this could also be the more likely cause.
