What Causes Electric Shock Like Sensation In The Neck?

hi, some times i feel as if high voltage of electric current passes my neck... bottom up and subsides within the neck area bit i can not pinpoint specifically a location. the episode lasts for few seconds and multiple spasms or convulsions or high voltage current sensations start with mild intensity, getting higher or painfull subsides after becomming milder again... please shed some light on this phenomina

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to nerve compression at neck.

To confirm diagnosis, kindly do MRI cervical spine and nerve conduction study.

you may require tab. pregabalin and nortrypltilin. till then you can take tab. tylenol.

Apply diclofenac gel with heating pads. Do regular physical therapy.
