What Causes Electrical Shock Like Feeling In The Ear After Taking Xanax?

EVERY FEW MINUTES ALL DAY TODAY, I have felt a shock like pain in front of my ear. There is no pain there when I touch that area, but the top left of my head is tender to the touch. Very irritating and wonder what it is. I never use zanax, but couldn t sleep last night and took a zanax to get to sleep. It started after that.
