What Causes Electrifying Sensation And Pain Inside Mouth?

I have an electric like sensation started last week when brushing in the morning at the upper tooth, but now am filling the shock all over my tooth when chewing food. I don't have any filling in the tooth. Also am felling slight pains in the mouth region, even to my face. What could cause this and what can I do. Thanks. Joyce

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain or shock like feeling in the tooth while brushing and chewing seems to be probably due to deep decay in tooth and it has led to irritation and inflammation of nerves and due to this there is pain or electric shock like feeling..

Feeling of pain in face and mouth is due to radiating pain from the site of tooth decay..

I would suggest you to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised root canal treatment of tooth followed by antibiotics and painkillers..
As of now you can take higher painkillers like Tramadol and also avoid chewing from painful side..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
