General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
If viral hepatitis and alcoholic hepatitis are ruled out then there are several other conditions which could lead to ALT elevation. It includes autoimmine hepatitis and gilberts diseases and you need extended work up made by hepatologist. This is very high ALT and the cause should be established. If the diagnosis cant be established by ultrasound and lab work then liver biopsy may be the option. Certain food and medications may lead to such dissarngement of findings.
I hope I have answered you query
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
