What Causes Elevated BP After A Retinal Detachment Surgery?

Husband had retinal detachment surgery 4 days ago. He has had his eye tapped 6 times because of pressure keeps increasing. Pressure jumped to 56, they got it down to 2, but it keeps increasing back to 22-30. As of this morning his other eye now is hazy. Any idea of what is causing the other eye to be hazy?
