What Causes Elevated BP And Cholesterol Levels After Child Birth?

High tryglsoirdes, slightly high cholesterol, low good cholesterol, severe anxiety (currently taking medication) high blood pressure due to postpartum preeclampsia. Recently had a baby three months ago and nursed him for about 2 months. I have a lot of stresses right now but is it normal for my blood levels to be out of whack after having a baby?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Eclampsia does not persist beyond delivery of the baby. It is simple hypertension as 2 months have passed since delivery. Get treatment for anxiety. Avoid salty and fried foods. Maintain adequate body weight. Go for morning or evening walk at a moderate pace at least for 15 minutes daily. Take proper medication for anxiety and high blood pressure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
