What Causes Elevated BP While On Valsartan?

Hello, I ve been on Valsartan 160mg for 3 weeks, last week my blood pressure was elevated for 5 days 170s & 180s. my doctor s Pa increased the valsartan to 320mg two a day with 2 verapamil 180mg er. I feel horrible, dizzy and fatiqued, blur vision. I was on lisinipril for years and never felt this way. my doctor seems to think, that this is a better drug for me, and that I need to give it a chance for my body to get used to it. I feel sick on this drug and I don t know what to do. any suggestions?

I would suggest to check your blood pressure 2-3 times a day at home while resting.
Other reason for the elevated blood pressure can be an anxiety.
your symptoms can be from drop in blood pressure due to medications.

You need to follow up closely with your physician.
