What Causes Elevated CMV IgG Level In A Pregnant Woman?

Hi, I am pregnant fo 8 weeks and doctor recommended to do CMV IgG test. Today I got my results and the value was 500,00. I am a bit worried because I don t know what does it mean and my next appointment is in two weeks. I would really appreaciate if you could clarify this for me, because I ve been reading some possible clarifications but still don t know whether I should be concerned or not. Kind regards,

Hi I think it is good to have high CMV IgG value. It means that you are protected against CMV infection. There are two types of tests IgM and IgG. If IgM is high, that means you are infected with CMV. So, don't worry about it. Your report is normal. Hope it helps.
