What Causes Elevated GGT Levels?

My GGT level goes up and down. I have a blood test every 2 weeks. I went in to see my doctor 4 months ago because of jaundice. I stopped drinking alcohol and watched the food I was eating and one month after, Jaundice was gone. When I was told that I thought all was going back to normal so I started to drink again but moderately. My GGT levels since have gone up to 39, then down to 239 then up to 595!! Question: Can they vary that quickly and by so much in 2 weeks. The 595 reading was after the holidays, of course we had more drinks than usual. And before the las test, I did not drink for a full week almost. What then can cause the reading to be so high? My WCB (3 of them) are high.

it can be hepatitis a which can become normal after avoiding alcohol a hepatotoxic food and drink because this is only condition which can regress with dieat control and others need specific treatment.
