What Causes Elevated PSA Levels?

My PSA has been slowly rising over several years following a recent test it has go up almost 1.0 in a few months the only change to my health has been indigestion and I have been taking Omeprazole 40 mg could this drug affect the prostate gland please

Hi,

Yes, Omeprazole on long term use can cause mild elevation of PSA value. You have 1.0 ng/ml and it is considered as normal. You can use lower dose of Omeprazole. If you have any difficulty in urination then consult urologist for examination. If PSA value is Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular sex or masturbation, do regular exercise.
