My husband s PSA has risen from last year 8.2 to 10.5 this year so did the MRI and found 7mm tumor, his PSA had been between 7-8.5 for several years and he did biopsy 4 years ago and was normal. He is going for another biopsy soon, I wonder the tumor size is considered big or no? actually from 7.2 one year ago.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
In history you have mentioned 7 mm size tumor in MRI scan. So it is not much big size tumour. But let me know your biopsy histopathology report for checking whether it is Benign tumor or malignant tumor. If it is Benign prostatic hyperplasia than medication available for that. Take care and consult urologist for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
