What Causes Elevated WBC And Bilirubin Levels?

I just had a urinalysis and they found elevated white blood cells, bilirubin, keytones, bacteria, and leukocyte esterates in the sample. They are culturing my sample. I suspect a UTI but am curious about the bilirubin in the sample. Is this normal for a simple UTI?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The bilirubin should not be found in urine. If it is found it indicates a liver or gallbladder disease like;

Cirrhosis, Gallstones in the biliary tract, Hepatitis, Liver disease, Tumors of the liver or gallbladder, your urine analysis should also infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
