What Causes Elevated WBC Count While Suffering From Ovarian Cyst?
I spent the weekend in the hospital. Ct scan discovered I have a cyst on my ovary 8mm and my white blood cell count was 24000 at the time I was admitted to the hospital. After 4 rounds of Antibiotics, it dropped to 17000. They sent me home and I have to go back in two weeks for a checkup. What to do? What could it be?

Hi,
It must be secondary infection of your cyst which responded to antibiotic course. As infection will subside, counts will drop down.
