General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You have not mentioned which drug has been prescribed and dose for the same...

In nephrotic syndrome glomeruli having more permeability for albumin and so it's appearance in urine

Mostly children having excellent response to steroid as most of cases are minimal change nephrotic syndrome

After detail history and clinical examination if no response than dose can be increased...

If needed than another suitable medication might prescribed apart from prednisone

I advise you to consult nepgrologist for examination of your child and accordingly specific work up if needed

Take care
