What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure And Numbness On The Face?

I am not sure what I have. My blood pressure shoots up to 171/110, I have numbness in my face in different areas, I have severe lower back pain and trouble breathing. I have had these symptoms for about 6 months on and off. Been to my doctor s, was on blood pressure med. and she has now ask that I take one in morning and one in evening. I have had chest Xray, nucleus testing, Echo gram, been to heart doctors and every one says my heart seems great but I have these symptoms occurring once or twice a week. Broke out with Hives about 6 months ago, ever had them before seeing allergist to help with them. Don t know if they are connected. I am 58, eat well exercise most of my life, do not smoke.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

You have to start on antihypertensives like amlodipine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
