What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels And Discomfort In The Back?

I have some tension in my back that causes back problems which causes my blood pressure to rise.Yesterday went to David Raines in Bossier City,Louisiana.My blood pressure read 159/96 and my Doctor Seneka Chaney prescribed me with Baclofen 20 Mg and ibuprofen 800 Mg.I am suppose to take Baclofen 2 times a day and the other 3 times a day.I am 6 ft tall weighing 332 lbs. which I have lost 20 lbs.;high blood pressure runs in my family. I m concerned about my health. should I be taking these medications?

The medications include a pain killer and muscle relaxant. Pain can cause an increase in blood pressure, if that is the source of your high blood pressure, using the pain medication with the muscle relaxant would help.

The blood pressure should be repeated when there is a decrease in the intensity of your pain.
It is possible that there may be a change, if the readings still remain high then you need medication for high blood pressure.
