What Causes Elevated Blood Sugar Level After Receiving An Epidural Injection?

I had an epidural today for lower back pain. I am getting pale and my blood sugar is 340 Is this ok and how high should the blood sugar go? I am a type two diabetic but my blood sugar is usuallyt below 120 in the mornings and 160 max after eating.

An epidural steroid injection does lead to a transient rise in blood sugar levels which should settle down in about 24 hours at the most. However if your diabetes is otherwise well controlled it should normalise.
you need not worry. Just check your blood sugar again after a day or so.
