What Causes Elevated Body Temperature And Excessive Sweating?

For the past several months I have been having spells of my body getting very hot. It comes on very quick and it only last for a min. I sweat then it goes away as fast as it comes on but it leaves me weak for a few minutes. I am 68 years old so i was told by my ob that it is not hot flashes. My dr.has done several blood test and nothing has shown up. I have read about Endothelial disfunction do you think it could be and if so haw serious is this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Do you feel like your heart is speeding up at these times? Have you been evaluated for a pheochromocytoma? It can be evaluated by urine or blood tests.

Do you additionally have stomach pain or palpitations? What is your blood pressure like? Do get back to me on these points so that I can help better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
