What Causes Elevated Cholesterol Levels?

Hi I’m inquiring about blood work results. Doctor called Cholesterol level high and want me to excersize and and watch what I eat. Then I was informed my doctor ordered medicine to take for hypothyroid results. My question is by refusing to go on cholesterol medicine, these past years is possible the result of this new medical issue with thyroid is this result. How does it just come on. I do feel tired do to winter season and my age. Also I have a very stressful and demanding job. What causes thyroid issues

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think your thyroid issues are not related to high cholesterol levels nor to your stressful job. These may be related to low iodine levels .
Some tests need to be done for it as your endocrinologist may suggest you. Also continue with diet and exercise for your cholesterol level. If it persists, continue with the medication.
