I had a routine bloodtest and my creatininelevel was slightly elevated. I am in a pre-diabetic state adjusting my blood sugar through diet. My 14 day avg is about 100 and my 30 day avg is about 106. Is the elevated creatinine level something I should see a specialist about?
Dear patient usually raised creatinine is suggestive of some kidney problem and which could be due to diabetic nephropathy but in your case as your blood sugar is controlled,it is less likely so no need to worry for that. But you should see a specialist in my opinion to rule out other causes also. If you have mentioned creatinine values I could have helped you further. Hope my answer will help you. Enjoy and maintain that good sugar control.
