General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Creatinine normal value is 0.6 to 1.2 ng/mL; so 1.3 is not that of serious concern it is just borderline raised. So you need precautions to maintain your hydration at its best to prevent further damage to the kidneys.

Reason of elevated creatinine is diabetic nephropathy hampering ability of renal nephrons to flush creatinine giving rise to raised blood level.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
