What Causes Elevated Heart Enzyme Levels After A Mitral Valve Replacement?

I recently had a mitral valve replacement with a bovine valve. My most recent blood test indicated that I have an elevated enzyme heart level. What are possible reasons? I am taking a beta blocker and 4 supplements. Also ladies. Are there any medicines to bring the level down?
