Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 17 year old daughter s heart rate spikes to (160) when doing moderate exercise and then stays elevated (140 ish) even after she stops. eventually after 10 or so minutes drops to 80 - 90 bpm s she does not get out of breath or feel fatigued. She has always been active, height 5 9 and 125 lbs.
It is normal to get 160 heart rate during exercise in young age.
Normal heart rate according to age is subtracting of your age from 220.
So if she is having palpitations or syncopal attacks or cyanosis or chest pain means consult your Cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
