What Causes Elevated Heart Rate And Shortness Of Breath?
I have been having strange things happening with my body lately. First I have to say i am under major stress. I though I have been dealing with it very well for many years. a week ago I literally started shaking Uncontrollably and immediately had chills to my bones. I sat in a hot shower for 30 minutes and no relief. Finally I became nauseous and threw up which gave me some relief. As the day went on I got better and more stable. Ever since then my joints seem to hurt, my heart rate is elevated, I have a pain in the chest (left center) but is a dull pain and intensity comes and goes. Shortness of breath for no reason and from time to time I feel unstable standing. Urinating constantly sleep is interrupted. Three years ago I had an aneurism repaired of the celiac artery. My surgeon was able to keep me alive by fashioning a patch out of bovine hear tighter with a bypass of one of the veins coming from the artery. I ended up with staph infection that kept me in the hospital for 3.5 months. I just don t feel right anymore and my health insurance does not begin until next week. Do I go to the hospital now or wait until the 24th?
Hi. Thanks for posting on hcm. I recommend you to go to doctor immediately in view of your increased heartrate and shortness of breath and get an ecg done to be on safe side as you previously had a postive cardiovascular history and your present symptoms are leading towards heart attack. If heart is normal then the increased heart rate and shortness of breath could be because of the stress you are on. If it stress that is causing your symptoms I advise you to modify your lifestyle try some calming things like meditation or consult a psychologist which is secondary. Priority should be given to your heart in the first place. Hope this is helpful to you. Regards
