What Causes Elevated Heart Rate While Climbing Hills?
I am a very fit 52 yer old female with a healthy BMI. I am an avid hiker and do hikes most weekends up mountains. I also train 3 nights a week up a mountain wearing a 10kg backpack. I wear a heart rate monitor and am finding my heart rate reaches 180+ when climbing these hills. My resting heart rate is 75 and when I stop for a rest my heart drops down very quickly to my resting rate. Is this normal.
