What Causes Elevated Heart Rate While On A Pace Maker?
my husband has a pace maker - it is set at 60 - he has no pain but has taken his blood pressure and heart rate The bp is about 135/81 but his heart rate has been around 90 Should we be worried about the rapid heart rate? the heart rate has gone down to 68 - i think it will be ok now
thanks for the question as mam your husband has a pace maker ,which generates its own electricity and conduct to the heart as the pace maker has a fixed value it wont vary as our physiologically heart does bp is the resistance of the arterial wall against the pumped out blood from heart i think bp is good but you havent mentioned his age ? you just take care heart rate should not go beyond 100-120 if you can set your heat to 60-72-76 beats per minute then it would be good dnt allow him to do exertional work
